Introduction



In their 2002 award winning documentary, Daughter from Danang, directors Gail Dolgin and Vicente Franco retell the emotional story of a mother and daughter being separated and reunited in a post-war era.

Created by students from Malone University, this blog has been prepared to present six different film elements:
1. Director (filmmaker biographies)
2. Current Events (milieu surrounding film creation; social and political backgrounds)
3. Culture (food, music, religion, values of people within the film)
4. Technical (cinematography; shooting methods)
5. Screening History (premiere/showing locations; audience; film distribution significance)
6. Christian Perspective (Biblical teachings reflected and challenged in the film)
